The Mt. Olivet Baptist Church
seeks to make Christ-Centered Disciples and is a Christian
congregation committed to the New Testament faith as revealed and lived
in the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

The Church of Jesus Christ should
always focus on the kingdom because it is the kingdom of God that Jesus
came to inaugurate.
He was quite clear in this when He taught His disciples to pray in St.
Matthew 6:10 - “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth as
it is in heaven.”
All of our energy as believers must, therefore, be channeled towards
sharing the news of the kingdom with all with whom we have contact and
association.

It is expedient that you know something about the church in whose denomination you
hold discipleship.
The Baptist Church is the most democratic of Protestant churches in
that it is governed by the people and with the people choosing their
own minister and leader. Each Baptist Church is an entity in and of
itself, having no council or ecclesiastical body to ask of or to which
to answer. We encourage each person to rely on his/her conscience and
listen as God speaks to him/her. We oppose the baptism of infants and
insist that baptism should be restricted to believers who are old enough
to make their own declaration of faith.
The Mt. Olivet Baptist Church is always focused on kingdom
building. It is the kingdom of God that Jesus came to inaugurate.
