NOW IS THE TIME!

“DARING TO BUILD: VISION BEYOND OUR RESOURCES!”

Proverbs 29:18

“Where there is no revelation,
the people cast off restraint;
But happy is he who keeps the law.”

Philippians 4:19

“And my God shall supply all your need
according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

One year has passed since the inauguration of our Capital Fund Campaign to build a Family Life Center. Two years are yet set before us in terms of the financial pledges we have made to make this dream a reality.  I am grateful to all who have joined me in this bold venture of faith as we seek to expand our facilities that greater and more efficient work might be done in our quest to build the Kingdom of God in the hearts of people.

Everyone in Mt. Olivet has not yet captured the vision.  I am not surprised nor am I disheartened because in scripture ,as well as in life, there is never one hundred percent (100%) participation in anything.  When Moses began leading the children of Israel out of slavery there were those who doubted and even verbally expressed their desire to return to bondage.  In the aftermath of our Lord’s resurrection from the dead, the disciples who had walked with Him doubted, and Peter, the eldest of the disciples, returned to fishing.

The acceptance of vision requires mammoth faith.  There is neither doubt nor question that God has spoken and given us the vision to build a Family Life Center!  Yes, even in these recessionary times!  If not now, when?  We are daring to build because faith compels us to believe that God never gives a vision without the provision of resources.  Since God has given the vision, the resources must come from Him. The Lord is Jehovah-Jireh!  He will provide!  The vision before us is gargantuan.  About this there is no question.  However, we must trust the God of the vision with the faith that He will take what we have and give in faith, and then do what He did through Jesus who took the fish and loaves, thus feeding a multitude.  The Lord did it then and I know he can do it now.  There are those of us who yet believe in this God who will provide beyond our resources.
