Rev. Raymond Caruthers

Raymond Caruthers was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he is one of five children. He attended the Muskogee Public School System, where he gained his formal education. Upon completion of high school, he continued his preparation in higher education at the Langston University, Langston, Oklahoma. While matriculating at Langston University, he was appointed to many student leadership positions, offices and commissions. He was instrumental in helping to co-find a religious organization entitled, “Campus Christians.”


He graduated from Langston University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. He was recruited to the Columbus City Schools, Columbus, Ohio to assume his position on the front lines of urban education. Throughout his tenure as an educator, he has received awards such as, Outstanding Teacher of the Year, WCMH Channel 4 Educator of the Month, Columbus State Community College Educator of the Year, and Columbus Parent/Teacher Association Teacher of the Year. Rev. Caruthers, was challenged to pursue Educational Policy and Leadership at The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Upon completion of his Masters of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Educational Administration, he worked with in the suburbs as well as in the Columbus City Schools as a Principal/Instructional leader.


Some of his accomplishments include; Parent Teacher Association Educator of the year (2012). One of five Principals’ selected as an Ingram Grant recipient (2011). He is the only Principal in the Dayton Public School’s system as a National Principal Board Certification recipient and one of two hundred and eleven nation wide. Reverend Caruthers also has studied at Harvard University and the University of Virginia for Educational Leadership.


Reverend Caruthers served the Dayton Public Schools as a Director and a District Lead Principal at David H. Ponitz Career Technology Center, Dayton Public Schools. Dayton, Ohio. His charge was to oversee the latest programs in the area of Career/ College pathways for multiple schools throughout the district, supervise a staff of over 120 and manage a multimillion dollar budget annually.


In 1988, Reverend Caruthers acknowledged his call for the Proclamation of the Gospel Ministry. He served as Youth Pastor at the Second Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio from 1991 until 1997. Reverend Caruthers was instrumental in assisting with the co-founding of a new ministry in Columbus and served as a Co-Pastor at the Abiding Faith Baptist Church. The church grew and was later given the opportunity to merge with a well-established church to further its Kingdom work.

Rev. Caruthers completed his ecclesiastical preparation at the Trinity Lutheran Seminary, Columbus, Ohio with a (MTD) Masters of Theology.


Reverend Caruthers was ordained by Dr. Charles E. Booth.

Reverend Caruthers is a sought after preacher, teacher, lecturer and evangelist across the country. Reverend Caruthers believes as we are living in the latter days, that he has a divine mandate to preach Matthew 28:19-20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you always, even until the end of the world.” Amen.


Reverend Caruthers is married to Shawn Renee’Caruthers.
